Hi, I ordered my honey a few months ago because I am allergic to Neosporin and then to Bactracin so I didn't have anything to use when I needed it. I have Lymphadema in my left arm and hand from breast cancer. It's a very serious condition, and as little as a pin prick can send you to the hospital to be put on IV antibiotics. I keep a prescription in my purse at all times. I wear a sleeve and glove every day and wrap it in compression bandages at night. About 3 weeks ago I cut a finger on that hand about 1/8 inch deep. I am sending these photos of my Mothers wound on the bottom of her left foot. The wound started as a blister that encompassed the entire heel of her left foot. The grave danger was due to the fact that she only had one foot left. She lost the other leg below the knee in 1999 due to infection that resulted from a broken ankle. She broke her ankle in the hospital and a cast was applied too tightly and the wound became gangrenous. Septic amputation was the only way to save her life. Just writing to say that this product (Active Manuka Honey) is fantastic. I was skeptical, as I've tried a number of things to relieve my acid reflux and IBS, but nothing really seemed to work well. Hi, my name is Jessica. I'd like to share with you my experience with a staph infection and manuka honey. This story is worth reading. About 7 months ago, I developed a small wound on my finger which I thought was a spider bite. This seems to be a common miss-diagnosis of early stages of a staph infection. So I went to the doctor, as the wound had worsened. I was concerned that it could possibly be MRSA, being that my father had it at the time and had a terrible abscess on his calf. The doctor laughed and said it couldn't be MRSA, it was just an insect bite. He prescribed me some pain medication, and sent me home. About a week went by, and it had gotten so inflamed my finger was turning purple. I went to the emergency room where they lanced open the abscess on my pinky finger, drained and cleaned it with saline water. 2 weeks later I spotted a wound on my right leg, just below my knee. Immediately, I went to the doctor to have it checked out. They took a sample and sent it to the lab for testing. Results said I had MRSA. The doctor made me aware of this, prescribed antibiotics to me and sent me home.

The only problem was, that the medicine the doctor prescribed to me was cephalexin and methalicillin antibiotic. The MR in MRSA stands for Methalicillin-Resistant. On top of not giving me the correct antibiotic, I had an allergic reaction to it. My legs were covered in hives after 2 days of using this medicine. At night I scratched the hives so bad they became open wounds, in which case the infection spread, and I had tiny abscesses virtually all over my legs. At this point, my health insurance expired under my dad (military), and I was left with this deadly infection and no medical care. After doing extensive research online (your site ultimately persuaded me), my first trip was to the local health food store, where I found Raw Manuka Honey, Active 15+. I observed my doctor lancing and cleaning my wound before, so I had no choice but to do the same for myself and keep them completely covered, disinfecting my bathroom daily, even several times daily to keep my 6 month old baby from catching what I had.

Dealing with these abscesses was tricky. If the pus center isn't surfaced, you risk not getting 100% of the bacteria out the first time, in which case the skin heals and the bacteria is still under the skin. For the abscesses not surfaced and ready to pop or lance, I cleaned the area, applied Active Manuka Honey and covered it with gauze and tape for several hours. I experienced a stinging sensation after just minutes of applying, so I knew it was working. Desperate for this to work, I let the honey do its job. A few abscesses actually surfaced and drained right under the bandage because the honey pulled out the bacteria and destroyed it. I kept the area clean and changed gauze so it could heal. I kept the honey on the area until it was healed. This assured me the bacteria would be dead and none would reenter the wound. I had taken care of all the tiny abscesses on my legs. Meanwhile, the major one beneath my knee (illustrated in the photos) had gotten worse and worse. My entire leg was swollen and the abscess was so deep in my skin, I was scared the bacteria could spread to my blood stream. I could not bend my knee for several days.

I ordered a seafood pasta dish at the "Froggers Restaurant" located in a plaza on Conroy-Windermere in Orlando, FL. The food tasted good at the time I ate it, I had no idea that it was contaminated with bacteria. It didn't take long for me to get an extremely upset stomach with cramps! I could hardly make it home before experiencing sweating and loads of diarrhea after that. I could hardly leave the rest room to lay down. This is my 18 year old son's hand after a firework accident on July 2, 2006. These were second degree burns. Doctor Testimony: How Active Manuka Honey quickly healed large open knee wound of diabetic patient

I spoke to you over the phone back in December and ordered the Active Manuka Honey to try on an employee's non-healing knee wound. She had had this wound for three weeks and we had tried oral antibiotic therapy and dressings. The wound always looked purulent and surrounded by angry red tissue. She was also taking Advil to ease the pain. She is diabetic and has had problems with wound healing before. One of the other doctors felt that she would need a skin graft to close the wound.

The wound was open with a gap of .85 cm. The erythema surrounding the wound was about 5 cm and very tender to the touch. She applied the active manuka honey to a dressing once every 24 hours, and merely rinsed the area with a light stream of saline at bandage changing. The next pictures were taken over the next two weeks which showed gradual wound closure. She also stated, that within a few minutes of placing the first dressing on, she no longer had pain, so she stopped the Advil and never had to use it as the treatment continued. By week two, there was just a small pinhole opening at the deepest part of the wound which ultimately closed with continued honey application.

In March 2008, I took my Dog to the Vet, concerning a skin itchiness that started in January 2008 & progressively got worse. I burned my arm on a really hot pot when cooking. At first I just cooled it with ice cubes, and when the strong pain came, I put some Active Manuka Honey and a bandage on it. The next day it turned red and the wound started to become water-filled; after the 4^th day the wound opened by itself. For the next 6 days I put every night before going to sleep a fresh honey-bandage on it, changed it in the morning, but let the wound at the air for at least 3 hours a day. I felt like I had to yawn all the time, so I went to my doctor for the regular check-up. I told my doctor about the frequent yawning. My doctor had me tested for h. pylori, which tested positive. Customer Testimony: How Active Manuka Honey helped with severe Acid Reflux, severe IBS and Crohn’s disease…

I was suffering from overuse of dangerous antibiotics and antifungals, I had developed a vicious sickness, a combination of severe acid reflux, Crohn’s disease, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), severe athlete’s foot/jock itch (candida overgrowth). The acid reflux was so severe I could not speak after a meal. The reflux would flood my vocal cords; I was not just hoarse, I could not speak. The IBS was so severe, I wondered what it was like to be out of pain, to feel well. Nearly every meal brought severe pain and misery.
My doctor at that time tried to get me to take antacids such as Prevacid. Thanks to God (when I started this path, I was very ignorant), I instinctively knew that these dangerous drugs would not make me well, they would only hide symptoms. For the jock itch the dermatologist prescribed Lamisil, a very dangerous drug. I only took Prevacid it a couple of days and it did partially hide the acid symptoms, but I knew I was not truly feeling better. The Lamisil eliminated jock itch for the 2 weeks I was taking this horrible drug, immediately after which the jock itch came back more vicious than ever. I believe the Lamisil for the jock itch ultimately made it worse and was a partial cause of my Crohn’s disease and IBS. That’s OK, Satan meant it for bad, God used it for good.
After much praying, I felt a strong desire to be well, and believed that there must be a true way to wellness, with God’s mighty help.
About 8 years ago, I became very very ill with the various diseases described above. I became determined to become well. Even though I grew up on a farm and had long been considered a healthy eater, when I found out that bad bacteria and candida overgrowth were affected by food, I changed completely the way I ate. I discontinued all sugar or sweeteners of any kind. For 3 months I ate nothing sweet (not even fruit!), hoping to starve the bad bacteria and fungi. I ate no (still don’t) white flour. For another 9 months the only fruits I ate were tart fruits such as berries. I ate only natural healthy nutritious food.
Still, though I stopped getting worse, I did not get better. One day as I opened the Bible, the verse in Proverbs “Eat some honey, my son.” leaped off the page and screamed at me, a Word from God. “But Lord, you know I eat no sweeteners of any kind”, I responded. For 3 weeks I resisted this instruction, which I was repeatedly led to. I was sure, that I was to eat no sweeteners. Finally I said OK and did buy some raw honey comb. From that very day on, I saw the jock itch greatly reduce. I also felt some relief in my tummy.
Still I struggled with pain and IBS. The acid reflux was still bad enough that I would often lose my voice entirely after a meal. One day I was listening to the Dennis Prager’s radio show. He had a woman on, extolling the virtues of raw honey. Then, she mentioned something called Manuka Honey, which she said was a truly amazing creation. My name is Cristina, I’m 22 years old and was born with a severe genetic skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa, or EB for short. I’m not for sure how many jars I would need a month, but I would estimate about 3-4 jars. In the middle part of November 2006, I accidentally burned the front part of my leg on my thigh area pretty badly when I suddenly had a Grand Mall Seizure which I have suffered from for years due to a Motor Vehicle Accident many many years ago.

Because of my MVA / Car Accident and the burns I suffered as a result of that not to mention the seizures I spent the better part of a year in the hospital recuperating. So with this burn I automatically knew from experience what to do without going to the Hospital, Doctor or Emergency Room.
I soaked my leg in cool water for a long while and then as I had experience with I applied some prescription Silvadene Cream that is specifically used for burns of this nature. Leaving it on the wound as long as I could possibly stand and only lightly covering it with sterile bandages seemed to help for the time being.
But as time progressed and it came upon the middle of December 2006 I knew this burn should have almost been completely healed already but for a few red spots that just did not seem to be advancing in the healing process.
So I tried some other remedies that in the past have worked for burns and then I ran across your Honey site and decided to try it.
I tried the Regular Manuka Honey first and though it seemed to get lighter it did not get smaller on the wound as I had hoped so I then purchased your Active Manuka Honey Wound Care set and as you can see from the first picture and the last it is healing very very well. Much better than I ever expected and it has only been about 10 days of using this Active Manuka Honey Wound Care set mixed with the regular Manuka Honey you offer.

As my experience with the Car Accident and the severe burns to my face and torso and arms had only left minimal scarring with the Silvadene Prescription cream I had hoped that was to be the case in this instance. I had to have 3 plastic surgeries to my face and only have minimal scarring and you could not even tell if I did not tell you about the accident all due to wonderful reconstructive surgeons and this Silvadene Creame. But it was not to be the case in this instance with my leg.

I had a chronic sinus infection from January until the middle of November of this year. I have studied and experienced the effects of prescription drugs on the body and was reluctant to take them. I received my order in a speedy and timely manner after placing it and began taking 2-3 tsp. a day of the Active Manuka Honey as soon as I received it. In a few days, I noticed that I was going longer and longer without needing the sinus medication to keep from coughing, and in a couple of weeks - I no longer needed the sinus medication at all. It is not often one has the very clear evidence of just how well a product works! I was in New York City about a month ago and absolutely everyone around me was sick with a flu that was going around.
