Years later, their offsprings migrated to Florida, settling near the Everglades, home of the Seminole Indians. With their encouragement, the author set out on a cross-country odyssey in search of his native bloodline. His journey ended when he found a group of Chiricahuas and his long lost relatives living amongst the Mescalero Apaches of New Mexico. Welcomed and accepted, the author was inaugurated into the Medicine Circle as a singer for their Crown Dancers, whose members descended from the great warriors-Cochise, Victorio, Chihuahua, Chatto and Geronimo. Their faces, statements, and stories along with those of the only unconquered Indian Nation, the Florida Seminoles are in his book.
