Sore throats can be relieved with natural Manuka Honey

picture of duodenum ulcer

Active Manuka Honey may be quite effective as a natural treatment for a duodenum ulcer. Active Manuka Honey has been extensively researched over 20 years by Dr. Molan at the Waikato University of New Zealand and found to naturally destroy staph aureus, streptococcus as well as h. pylori. Active Manuka Honey is also applied externally to ulcers, burns, wounds and sores.

What is a duodenal ulcer and how is it contracted?

When an ulcer is located in the duodenum, it is called a duodenal ulcer. Excessive acid causes the mucosa to break and form an ulcer. The mucosa is the moist tissue that lines the stomach, duodenum and other digestive organs. Millions of people in the U.S. suffer from ulcers in the GI Tract and about a third of the U.S. population suffers from the h. pylori bacteria.

Since the discovery of the h. pylori bacterium about 2 decades ago, ulcers can now be treated by eradicating the h. pylori bacteria. Once the bacteria has been eradicated, the ulcer has a chance to heal. It is believed that the h. pylori bacterium causes chronic inflammation of the stomach and duodenum, which in turn weakens the mucosa, thus allowing acid to cause a tear in the lining that can develop into a sore or ulcer. H. Pylori is contracted through contaminated food, contaminated water, poor sanitary conditions.

The most common symptoms of an ulcer are pain, nausea, burning sensation. You need to pay close attention to more severe symptoms such as tarry stools, extreme abdominal pain, vomiting, vomiting blood. A perforated ulcer in the GI Tract (gastro-intestinal tract) including the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, the small and large intestinal tract, can affect surrounding organs. When this happens, serious complications can follow, to the point of being life threatening and may require emergency surgery.

How can a duodenal ulcer be prevented?

Eliminate hot, spicy, irritating foods from your diet as well as excessive use of alcohol and cigarettes. Smokers are twice as likely to develop ulcers than non-smokers, by providing a more favorable condition for the h. pylori bacteria. Stress and ongoing stressful situations also seem to aggravate an ulcer. Stress seems to increase acid production. Stress can also increase blood pressure and anxiety, therefore causing favorable conditions for the ulcer to grow. Other factors that tend to cause ulcers are pepsin. Pepsin is released by the mucosa to help break down protein, and hydrochloric acid, an acid released by the digestive system. A  history of ulcers in the family can also be a reason for a greater likelihood of getting an ulcer due to hereditary tendencies. Also certain drug side effects can cause the mucosa to break, thus causing the beginning of an ulcer.

Have yourself tested for h. pylori if you are experiencing any of the above symptoms.

Simple life-style changes can reduce the risk of getting an ulcer in the first place, such as eating a healthy, balanced diet. Work on controlling stress in your life. Quit smocking for your own sake. Reduce or eliminate the use of alcohol, coffee, colas, sodas containing caffeine. Exercise of any kind is a great stress reliever, also increasing the secretion of the 'good mood hormone' seratonin. If exercise is not your thing, try meditation and other stress-reducing strategies such as a walk outdoors in fresh air and sunshine.

Customer Testimony: "Doctor amazed that his patient's endoscopy proved the natural healing powers of Active Manuka Honey to help heal Stomach Ulcer and Duodenal Ulcer":

Hello

On July 22, 2005, I had an endoscopy and was told I had two ulcers, one duodenal, one stomach, and the one in the stomach was severe.  My doctor prescribed Prevacid and Carafat, and I took both faithfully for almost two months with no change in stomach pain, hot burning gas, and vomiting.  Then near the end of September, my son found your product, Active Manuka Honey, on the internet and ordered some.  I took it for 3 days, and the hot gas, vomiting and pain after eating stopped.  I continued to take it 3 times per day. On November 30, 2005, I had a second endoscopy.  My doctor came to me afterward and said my ulcers are 80% healed.  I told him about your product and he said he had heard about it, but the results haven't been 'proven.'  I told him they have been with me!  He also asked if I needed refills on my prescriptions, and I said 'No thank you.' Your product is great, and I tell everyone at work about it.  I just received my second order of 6 jars. Thank you so much!
