What is psoriasis? Is psoriasis contagious? Psoriasis Cause?

Psoriasis is a hereditary disorder that causes immediate immunologic reactions to various internal and external influences such as pollen, dust, insect bites, foods etc. Common reactions include hay fever, asthma and other allergic reactions. About 15 million Americans suffer from psoriasis and are looking for a psoriasis cure. Children are most prone to getting psoriasis, which can lead later on to other allergies such as hay fever and asthma. Psoriasis can break out anywhere on the body. People suffering from severe psoriasis, or multiple psoriasis, may experience psoriasis on almost their entire body, which can make it very difficult psychologically to go to school or show up anywhere in public, due to the embarrassment of the severe skin condition. Typical locations where eczema psoriasis will show up on the body include: scalp psoriasis, nail psoriasis, fingernail psoriasis, skin psoriasis, face psoriasis, psoriasis of the foot, psoriasis of the hands, psoriasis on the elbow and psoriasis on the knees. Other, less common areas for psoriasis are genital psoriasis, psoriasis vulgaris, penile psoriasis.

There is still no psoriasis cure. The skin of a person suffering from psoriasis, eczema, or dermtitis, seems to not be able to hold in moisture as much as normal skin does. If the psoriasis keeps breaking out at the same spot over and over again, the skin will take on a 'leathery' look. The skin will continue to break, dry, crack, sometime leak either fluid, or puss when infected. However a natural approach to help heal dry, itchy, flaky skin, includes the use of Propolis Soap, Manuka Oil, Royal Jelly Hand & Body Lotion, Royal Paradise Shampoo and Conditioner.

How can I prevent getting psoriasis?

There is no known preventive measure that could be taken to completely avoid getting psoriasis. However there are various things one can do, in order to keep psoriasis in check and also minimize the number of out breaks by following these tips:

  • avoid drying out the skin
  • use non irritating, fragrance-free soaps, shampoos, conditioners
  • after washing the body, apply moisturizers to keep the skin hydrated and free of cracks and possible infection
  • if you live in a climate with low humidity and either hot or cold air, that climate condition can be your constant source of triggering dermatitis. This type of climate will remove moisture from your skin, aiding in psoriasis outbreaks
  • viral infections are also very common such as the herpes simplex
  • People suffering from psoriasis can also get a bacterial staph infection. When the skin is dry, itchy and breaks, bacteria can enter. Staph must be treated quickly and properly
  • avoid perfumes, unless you find one that does not irritate your skin or apply perfume externally over clothing, avoiding direct skin contact
  • try to keep emotions under control, as any strong emotion such as anger, stress, embarrassment can cause the skin to flush. This can make the skin itchy, which can lead to scratching

Psoriasis Diet?

Certain foods can generate toxins in your body that can trigger a new psoriasis outbreak. The following food items can cause a psoriasis symptom to erupt:

  • alcohol
  • coffee
  • spicy foods
  • red meats
  • tropical fruits (pineapple / mango)
  • shellfish

What kinds of tests can be done to determine if I have psoriasis?

There are various types of tests that can be done, to test for psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema, such as a blood test or skin tests.

1. Blood Test:
In the blood test, the lab would be looking for high levels of eosinophils, an indicator of an allergic reaction going on in the body. Another test can check for IgE levels in the body. The IgE result is elevated in people, suffering from psoriasis.

2. Skin Test:
In order to rule out other skin diseases such as dermatitis, eczema or skin cancer, a small skin biopsy can be taken and examined for psoriasis.

3. Patch Testing:
If a person thinks that they are suffering from psoriasis, the doctor can place small amounts of a substance that the patient may be allergic to, to the skin, and observe the skins reaction. This way certain substances can be ruled out of causing psoriasis while other substances need to be avoided.

Is psoriasis hereditary?

For some people psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema rashes and other skin conditions seem to have a tendency to run in the family. There may even be a genetic components to psoriasis. A person may also be more likely to get psoriasis, if they already have a history of allergies including hay fever, asthma, food allergies etc. A visit to an allergist or dermatologist will help to analyze the family history and discuss triggers such as food, dust, temperature changes etc

How can I better manage to live with psoriasis?

Even though psoriasis is a difficult disease to control, it can be managed in order to live a normal life at home, work and sports, when the following pointers are followed:

  • keep skin clean and moist

  • use fragrance free soap

  • controlling the itching to prevent scratching

  • preventing scratching will help prevent cracks, bleeding and infection
  • Clothing and Laundry tips:

  • wash new clothes before wearing
  • wear comfortable, loose, cotton clothing that lets air circulate freely over the skin
  • remove clothing labels if they bother you
  • use fragrance-free, dye-free liquid detergents and use second rinse cycle

Is there a natural cure for psoriasis? Advantages of using Propolis Soap, Manuka Oil, Royal Jelly Hand & Body Lotion, Royal Paradise Shampoo & Conditioner as a natural psoriasis treatment for the skin and scalp?

  • There are no known side effects to these natural manuka products, unless one is allergic to the tea tree plant itself. Manuka Soap, Manuka Oil, Royal Jelly Hand & Body Lotion and Royal Paradise Shampoo and Conditioner, are all products produced using ingredients from the bee hive and tea tree bush (leptospermum scoparium). If you are allergic in any way to the tea tree bush or products from the hive, do not use a natural remedy for psoriasis.

  • Propolis soap is an all natural antibacterial soap that does not further dry out the skin and is used for all skin types. The soap contains propolis, manuka honey and manuka oil, to help cleans delicate skin, without drying it out. Propolis is a substance that the bees collect to protect their hive from infection, to maintain a disease free environment. Propolis is well known for it's natural anti-bacterial properties.

  • Manuka Oil, (containing 90% Almond Oil and 10% Manuka Oil), is very soothing for the skin (if NOT allergic to the tea tree plant) and helps to heal dry, itchy, flaky skin. Manuka Soap and Manuka Oil help to destroy surface bacteria of the skin while leaving the 'good bacteria' in tact.

  • Royal Jelly Hand & Body Lotion is applied after the skin has healed, to help lock in moisture and keep the skin smoother.

  • Manuka Products are cost effective products for psoriasis alternative treatment

I searched the internet for "cure for psoriasis of the nails", and that is how I found out about your products. I started using the propolis soap and manuka oil, and in one week, I am already seeing results. I believe that this is the miracle that I have been praying for. If it is, you will hear from me again. • Eczema

Customer Testimony: How  Propolis Soap and Manuka Oil helped with relieving itch from eczema:"

I have eczema very severely, it covers almost my entire body. As you can imagine, I've been to many doctors and specialists, but not one single products seems to work. Of course, after having suffered from this condition for many years, and doctors not being able to be of much help, except selling me expensive tiny tubes, I searched online for 'natural remedy for eczema' or a similar term like that, which is when I found your website. I've been using the propolis soap and manuka oil for 1 month now. The eczema is not healed yet, but my skin feels and looks so much more smooth and most important I don't have to scratch myself anymore, the itch is gone. This is a great relief for me. Thank you for offering a natural product at an affordable price! The soap does not dry out my skin.

  • Rashes

Customer Testimony: How  Manuka Oil and Propolis Soap helped Customer cope with re-appearing Arm Pit Rash / Fungus?

I have a skin rash under my arm pit, or is it fungus (?) that keeps reappearing. I seem to be allergic to scented soaps and deodorants, so I have to be careful what I use. I'm not quite sure, what triggers the rash, but I do know that when I use Propolis Soap which contains Manuka Honey and Manuka Oil, together with Manuka Oil, it not only keeps the rash in check, but it heals it completely after just 4-7 days of application.
