Definition of ulcerative colitis?

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease of unknown cause in which the gastrointestinal tract is unable to distinguish foreign from self-antigens. It is characterized by chronic inflammation of the colonic mucosa and sub-mucosa. The extent and the location of the disease varies and may involve only the rectum (ulcerative proctitis), or the entire colon (pancolitis).

Researchers still have not found a cure for ulcerative colitis. In order to find a cure for ulcerative colitis, the cause must be fully understood. Perforated ulcerative colitis:
A perforated colon is most likely the complication of a toxic mega-colon, and will in most cases require surgery to remove parts of the colon. 2. Mix Active Manuka Honey with a UMF range between 16-18 with equal parts, 50/50, with Regular Manuka Honey, then re-apply this mix to the wound. This way you are still using Active Manuka Honey with a lesser strength. This mix should no longer burn or sting. However, for a few people who are extremely sensitive this 50/50 mix may still be too strong. In this case you could try using just Regular Manuka Honey for wound care, as Regular Manuka Honey still has natural anti-bacterial strength, a strength that is less than UMF 10.

I was in New Zealand in 2003 and had supplied myself with bread, peanut butter and honey.  (I wasn't nuts about the food!)  At the suggestion of my friend with whom I was staying, I purchased manuka honey at the grocery store.  I practically lived on PBH sandwiches. I felt like I had to yawn all the time, so I went to my doctor for the regular check-up. I told my doctor about the frequent yawning. My doctor had me tested for h. pylori, which tested positive.
