People around the globe are flocking to honey products, such as propolis, to bulid up their immune systems. Read more...
It is amazing how many honey and honey-related products are flying off the shelf right now. One of those items is propolis. Per Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, propolis is defined as “a brownish resinous material of waxy consistency collected by bees from the buds of trees and used as a cement in repairing and maintaining the hive.” Suddenly, this is now one of the hottest products in the niche.
Beekeeper Ramazan Özçakır is among those seeing an influx of business for this specific product. He stated, "We collect the propolis raw. It is also sold as alcohol and water-based or olive oil-based liquid.” He also claimed, “We know that it is used in the treatment of cancer diseases. It also has a protective feature against the virus. It strengthens our immune systems.” His claim regarding cancer is unfounded, which is one of the problems the FDA currently has with people that sell honey as a food source claiming it has medical benefits here in the United States. This particular beekeeper is in Turkey, so he is not bound by the same restrictions as United States beekeepers and honey sellers.
As we have stated many times here, raw honey has numerous benefits, including antibacterial benefits, and Manuka honey is even more beneficial, especially the UMF+ honey. Even so, we would not be so bold as to make the claims this man is making.
What you can do, however, is use raw honey to help boost your immune system as well as making biproducts such as propolis part of your daily routine. Here at Manuka Honey USA, we offer Propolis Manuka Honey Syrup (click here). While we urge people to check with their doctor to ensure they will not have an allergic reaction to the product, those that are not allergic love to use it as a natural cough elixir.
Even though the winter season is in our rearview mirror, you may also want to consider using our Winter Wellness Pack. In addition to the propolis honey syrup, we also offer Manuka honey and several packs of Manuka honey drops. If you would like to learn more about our Wellness Pack, click here.
If you would like to purchase any of our honey products, click here. And, remember, we offer FREE shipping on all orders of $150 or more!
